Is The Black Zodiac Real?
The movie Thirteen Ghosts has spawned a legacy – the Black Zodiac. The simple question many people have is whether the black zodiac is real?
Is something real or not? It is a question that is surprisingly difficult to determine in many cases. The most popular books and movies combine a bit of the real with a bit of the fiction oriented story. Consider Dan Brown. His books The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons contain clear factual elements combined with creative storylines. The fact you can go stand in most of the locations in the books and see what he is discussing lends a certain credibility to the overall storyline. The legacy of the Black Zodiac does the same.
The zodiac has been with us since 3,500 years BC. That is a very long time. Hundreds of millions of people through time have looked to the zodiac for answers and inspiration to the questions they have. Even Presidents like Ronald Regan have done so. The validity of the Zodiac is such that some wonder if there isn’t an opposite side to it.
The movie Thirteen Ghosts was released in 2001. Tony Shalhoub of the television show MONK starred. The movie was a horror flick. The short and sweet of the plot was an uncle was a ghost hunter. When he caught the ghosts, he would imprison them in the basement of his mansion. He dies catching one last ghost and leaves the mansion to Shalhoub who has no clue about the ghosts. He and his family move in. They find the 12 ghosts trapped in the basement. The ghosts get out and carnage ensues.
The movie actually was pretty good if horror is your thing. Even if it isn’t, the movie spawned something that has lasted in the area of astrology. The black zodiac. As mentioned above, there were 12 ghosts trapped in the basement of the mansion. 12 is of course a major figure in astrology as there are 12 signs in the zodiac. These ghosts were evil or deadly souls and were thus named the Black Zodiac.
Thirteen Ghosts is obviously just a fictional movie. People realize these 12 ghosts don’t exist, but many wonder is the concept of the black zodiac real? Is there a dark side of astrology much like black magic? The answer is the black zodiac is not real. There is no dark side. The answer as to why is found in the zodiac itself. It can predict both positive and negative events. As a result, there is little need for a black zodiac that predicts only negative events.
