Aries is set as the first sign of the zodiac in spring. This is a time of rebirth and the Aries personalities reflects similar characteristics. 

There are a dozen Sun signs found in the zodiac. Aries is the first sign. It is set as winter turns to spring. Spring is a time of growth after a long and cold winter of dormancy.
